Was driving my 06 today when the check engine light came on. Disconnected the Quadzilla and the battery and the light went off.

I don't know if I am just paranoid but it looked like my exhaust temps went up while shifting through 4,5,6 after the light situation. Close to 1000 with medium throttle while accelerating. I am about to head to New Mexico tonight and I do not want to have any problems.

Any thoughts on this.

Thanks

Well it all depends on what code it set.

My 06 truck decided to throw a check engine light on Monday. I got to the shop and it had thrown a 0514 code. This of course is the stupid battery temp code. My truck has over 30k miles and it just decided today was the day. The outside temps when this happened were about 80 degrees.

Now it could be something like that or it coule be something else, but without a code it is really a crap shoot.

Did the truck run poorly when this happened?

Did the truck stumble or get rough?

Did you put the module back on when you went to drive it again?

The temps you are seeing now (1000 degrees) is that with or without the module.

What settings did you have the module on?

We can make some general guess with the above mentioned answers, but try to get us a code.

Quad

Truck did not run poorly.

It was on factory setting.

Yes, I reconnected the box.

Temps with the module on factory setting.

I don't want to go to the dealer to check the code. I hate not being able to see codes on the dash.

My 06 will show codes on the dash, are you sure yours won't?
