If the light went out, whatever hard code was set apparently resolved. Do you have any type of code reading ability? Worst case ask the dealer to check for any stored codes and keep them in mind in case any drivability concerns come up.
Cycle the key on/off 3 times with out starting it stopping in the on position. Where the odometer is, it will flash the codes that are set to memory, then done. Post them here and some one will chime in on what the refer to.
HMMM. I don't know too much about the OBDII in our trucks, but I do know OBDII in gasoline powered passenger cars. a flashing MIL in a car means there's disastrous emissions coming from the engine and would likely cause a cat converter meltdown or similar. I wonder even if our ram's MIL could flash, and what it would mean? We have no O2's or feedback. Dealer was not right to tell you to ignore a MIL.
A real good scan tool, or the Chrysler DRB could tell you what it was. One trip code is set- unless batts were disconnected.
