I found these today from Adam at Winspeed..... 925-370-7245. He has them for sale on E-BAY. You can really see the difference from stock restricted to new free flowing.



Ill have to hook up the 5th and see how much it helps the EGT's.
 
unless your running a straight up race truck without an intercooler, this is probably a waste of your money imho...

Why would a missing innercooler be a factor? obstructions are obstructions there for causing more resistance.



that's gota be a good 20% of the area blocked up by the heater grid and it's mounting surface area that's not there with the C&C part.
 
But things like TAG and Tornado are restrictions that are improvements. :confused: Snake oil. Someone must be trying to clear these things off there shelves, because its on at least 3 forums I visit. The facts are they have been dynoed with the grids in place and without, zero difference... . I read my boost from the intake plenum. If this creates less resistance and instead of 60 lbs, now I get 62, Big deal, its more PSI Im not flowing anyway... Restriction isnt in the grid heater, its in the head itself.

do you have any posts where ppl have dynoed with and with out to prove this snake oil?

It's enough to keep up here. I don't hit up the other sites all that much :) I do have a full time job to attempt to work at during 9-5 :)



I like how they look and pondering getting Poole's block.
 
Winspeed is basically two guys in the ca bay area. Adam and Brett. I know Adam dynoed his truck with one of those and it made 17 HP more. But hes moving a lot of air and fuel (over 750 HP). Still a daily driver though. A more stock set up probally wouldnt see that much.



But every little bit helps right? plus it just looks a lot nicer and cleaner. For less than $80 it cant hurt. It takes a grand total of about 10 mins to install, so you could run your heater in the winter.
 
Im thinking the silver one would lower EGT's the most due to its ability to reflect more of those high under hood temps away from the intake air. . But thats going on my limited knowledge of diesels, rotary pumps, etc, etc, etc... :rolleyes:

Bob, are you thinking of Adam Sprage (sp)? he was a Huge puller, I believe Winslett is more of a Dyno Drag race guy! Runs loads of Nitrous and a single Pius turbo to some great numbers :eek:
