owner operator question

why no dodge wreckers???

WHAT!! YOU LOSE HP AND TORQUE GOING THROUGH THE DRIVELINE!?! YOU MEAN THOSE PUBLISHED NUMBERS IS NOT WHAT IS BEING PUT DOWN AT THE REAR WHEELS!?!

:rolleyes:

Of course these are the same people that when they spike the dyno with their 300hp modified truck to 400, they say;

"My truck puts 400 at the wheels and I have the dyno sheets to prove it!"

Yeah, especially since Ford has trouble warrantying STOCK rigs that have a host of troubles.

But, they are just numbers, guys. From the 7. 3 PSDs I have driven, there is nothing to fear when towing a load and coming on a hill, except maybe getting stuck BEHIND one. Pulling a bobcat on a 18' BP trailer, had to drop a 96 PSD into 4th going up a hill on US 63 from Moberly to Columbia MO. SuperDuty with 4. 63 gearing :rolleyes: The guys who bash Dodge all the time have a) never driven one or b) driven on of the first 24v autos with 3. 54s which I hear were a little lackluster while towing. All of my first gens (160/400) can easily walk away from any PSD I have ridden in or driven. Friend's Dmax/ Allison doesnt leave Mom's ill (transmission) 92 too far behind, and my 91 would leave him in the dust with a 10K load.
