I Replaced My Hubs And Bearings About 3 Months Ago. Yesterday I Kept Hearing A Clicking Sound In The Front Left Wheel When Slowing Down. So I Take It Home Put It In The Garage And Pull The Center Cap Off. To My Surprise Out Falls 2 Front Wheel Studs They Had Broke In The Same Place Right Where They Came Through The Hub. They Were Side By Side In The Hub. Then After Checking I Could Turn The Lug Nuts On The Next 2 Studs By Hand. All 4 Of These Were Side By Side. The Other 4 Nuts Were Still Tight. Luckily I Kept The Old Hubs And Took 2 Lugs From Them To Replace. Makes Me Sick To Think What Would Have Happened If That Wheel Would Have Come Off At 70 Mph. The Other Side Is Fine All The Nuts Are Still Fine And Tight. I Torqued Them All To The Same Thing With The Same Torque Wrench. Kinda Weird I Thought.

they were seated when i removed them after they broke. im thinking some bad studs but not sure why 2 were loose ill keep an eye on them from now on... ...

And to think that airplanes have similar issues once in a while. I've caught one or two things on preflights for airplanes at work that were so close to causing something big it makes you cringe.

Good catch, glad that wheel didn't come off at speed.
