They fit nicely on an 8” wide wheel.

I have ran a couple sets of these in a different size on another truck and was very happy. This tire is very quiet, excellent dry/wet/snow and off road traction. They don’t pick up rocks like other A/T tires.

One big problem as usual…no wheel. We need a 20x8 with 6” back space to make these work, hub centric with high load rating- anyone?

Not sure what you are comparing them too but I ran a set on my 99 2500 and was less than happy. Traction was not bad new but went away quickly woth the miles. I did get 60k out ofthem rotating every 5 or 6k at discount tire.

BFG A/T's, Toyo A/T's, Dick Cepek Fun Country, Cooper A/T's are others I have used and like the AT/S better.

I did find a 20x8. 5 with 5. 5" back space which is pretty close. Also came up with some hub centric rings that will work. Sent an email off for load rating so we will see.

um, what tire are you talking about??? [i don't see a link or any reference to what tire you are talking about?]

Nice potential option, but at almost $300 per tire it rules it out for me.

For 20" wheels, maybe KORE would consider a Weld Cheyenne workup like the 18" wheels?

That's the story with wheels/tires for our trucks. . . ALWAYS a catch. Wrong offset, inadequate weight rating, too heavy, too expensive, you name it

On a similar note, the fact Ford now went 17" stock with an 18" option on their Superduties, there should be more tires coming down the pike over the next 1-2 years. And I took a close look at a new SuperDuty. . . almost looks like they've gone to a deep offset like Dodge (if my eyes aren't playing tricks on me). If that's the case, there's hope it will force the wheel manufacturers to tool up to match it. . . and consequently produce more options for the Ram.

Thats just a msrp, I doubt they would go for that at the actual sale.

I had asked them about that because Toyo and Nitto makes an E rated 20" tire and they said no. I think cuz its not off roady enough for em.

True and my Toyo's have about 5K left on em so I am starting to look.

Now you got me wondering what OE tire would come on the SD Ford with 18" option since KORE has the right wheel for us??

Ford is using Continental for their 17" tire (same as Dodge, 265/70/17) and Pirelli for their 18" in a 275/60/18". Don't remember what model of tire in each case, they were not on the tire MFG's websites when I looked.

I see Yokohama has 18" tires in their H/T-S G03 series
That one is 32" tall but only rated to 2601 lbs based on the 114H number. The A/T+II is more my needs for traction but again no sizes for me.

I got to see one of these Goodyear AT/S 20's in person and I have to say that in this particular size it does not represent the other smaller AT/S tread pattern tires and doesn't even look like the picture at the front of this thread.

It has a very "street" style tread, so much that I backed away from even considering it for winter driving. At 34" tall it was a tad big for my needs.

my tires.... VERY happy

I don't know about yours but here are mine and I'm thrilled with the over all look and performance on the truck. check my sig it's a big truck. If you don't believe me, pull up beside one at your local Home Depot or Lowes store. I block the Sun from anyone around me *correction I am the sun, light or whatever inspires you, to anyone parked close to me. Love my tires. check my sig but i believe they are 305/70/r16---equivalent of 33's make my truck look tough. got some pics but not sure how to upload them. for all you cost conscious fellas like me(i checked around alot) 600. 00 installed. nice price for a 33--or equivalent. couple of dealer didn't even know that they made them that big under a standard tire rating. But they DO! name on tires is Durango Radial (in white letter of course. ) hope this helps.

ps i lost about 3-4 miles per gallon with them. but when the cummins roars and the heads turn , :--) ----believe me it's worth it. can't beat them for sunny day pics either

Matt400,

I am quite sure the Wrangler AT/S is the tire which comes on the optional 20" wheels on the 2006 Ford SD Lariat. I know the Wrangler AT/S in size LT275/65R18 (load range E) is an option on some Ford F150's.

If I am not mistaken I believe the aftermarket 20" wheels for the Hummer H2 will fit your truck after a little machining to fit them to the hubs. I remember reading a thread about that mod here a while ago.

I have been running Wrangler AT/S LT265/75R16's on my previous and current truck since '97 and have had really good luck with them.

Cheers!

I find it strange that they would change the tread of the tire in that size and still call it the AT/S. This line is supposed to be their aggresive all terrain tire. It never ceases to amaze me how manufactures can wreck a good thing.

True, I was really blown away it was so different yet was an AT/S. I ran the 31x10. 50's for years on a Ranger.

I really want a 33x12. 00R18 A/T but am having trouble finding any. The Toyo's and Nitto's are awfully wide. The Nitto 295/70R17 is the best I can come up with which means staying with 17's

The 285/65R18 BFG A/T is on national back order plus I am not a big favorite of that tire.

Ford may not help much with wheels, last I saw they were running a different bolt circle than dodge and chevy :(

Jared

I am sure Vaughn just meant if another manufacture starts using deep offset wheels like Dodge does it may help to get the aftermarket off their butts on this.

I spoke to a Centerline rep and due to the increasing demand for deeper offsets they are currently tooling up for it and said we can expect to see more sizes in the next 60 days.

I saw a 3rd gen today with 17x9's and 4. 5" back space. . it looked terrible IMO and flares would not have come close to helping.
