formula 1 qualifying direct from the principality of Monaco. Why memorial? it's first year of one lap qualifying with no other cars on the 3. 340 km street circuit.
each of 20 v10 equpped car (3 litre's - 850+ hp) gets one warmup lap, then a flyer for all the marbles.
no excuses! this circuit is not about the cars but all about the drivers talent. last years pole time was 1'16". not too shabby for a course with several 1rst or 2nd gear corners..... oh btw, a new wrinkle in this new qual format is that the cars are impounded after qualifying and have to start the race exactly as qualified. same tires, same load of fuel, etc. should be real interesting.
