apparently notifier and email notification isnt working again and some folks dont loook at the pm message at bottom of 1st page,,,,,,,,,,,,,,so do that so ya can see if i sent ya a pm

What makes you think that? I just went through the logs and very few emails are being bounced. A number of emails went out to you today and were accepted by your host. Perhaps they have installed a SPAM catcher that is trapping your emails?

Steve it happens to me also but only at home, if I log in at work the PM's come right up, at home you have to scroll tot he bottom of the page... . who knows..... odd computer!

For the PM notification on the website it relies on Javascript. Try going into the chat room (which also uses Javascript) and see if it works for you. If that doesn't work then it's because your PC has Javascript disabled for some reason. That can be done through security settings in IE, some anti-virus or internet security software, or there is a virus hoax that has you delete a file that is necessary for Javascript to function ( http://us.mcafee.com/virusInfo/default.asp?id=description&virus_k=99436 ).

I've gotten a few PMs with no notification. (Not sure why) I just happened to go to the PM page and there were new ones. I used to get a pop up when I logged on.

Did you try going into the chat room to see if it works like I asked above, Pete? If the chat won't work then Javascript isn't working on your PC for one of the above reasons. Also, if you are on a slow connection and click on a link before the page is fully loaded (first page when you come to the site) you won't get the notification. That's because Javascript runs after the entire page is loaded - and there's nothing I can do about that, it's the way it works.

sometimes the notification works and sometimes not. i got hold of 1 member thru nwb and his notifier of pm's here at tdr failed to tell him he had messages and others who pm'ed me for info and i replied back have failed to open their pm's even tho they have visited the site



i hardly ever get the popup box anymore that tells me of a new pm



seems to be an intermitent problem
