I'm thinking about putting on a BD Pressureloc on my transmission and was wondering how hard it would be to do it myself? I dont know what is required to check the line pressure. Is this done with a standard pressure gauge and how is it done. An education on this would be appreciated. What am I getting into???Oo.

If you don't have a Dodge service manual this sounds like a good excuse to get one. It has all the information you need.

I agree with Joe, but will try to help you out a bit too.

You are going to need a pressure guage that will tolerate oil if you want it to last, and rated for 100-150 PSI. A 75PSI is enough really, but if you ever upgrade the transmission you will likely need a bit more capacity. I use a 100. There are three ports with plugs in them in the side of the transmission on the passenger side a couple inches above the pan. The middle port is the one you want for line pressure, the rear is governor pressure. You can use push-lok type hose or even nylon presto-lok type hose. Get the guage hooked up to the port however you can, and use enough hose that you can use the gauge while driving. If you ever need to do any troubleshooting you won't have to get another hose. Your base line pressure is measured in drive at idle. I think you are looking to see 62-65 PSI at idle in drive, but I could be off a tad. This is the barest basics of a pressure check. Hope it helps.
