Tony, I believe you can use the Schraeder valve on the VP44 to check the pressure. the infamous "BriarHopper" gauge is designed to do just that.

Tom

You can go to an auto parts store and buy an R12 A/C charging hose(4ft). Adapt a 0 to 30 psi guage to it and you can ck it at idle under the hood. I then carefully "fish" the hose with guage attached thru to the cowl and carefully close the hood. I attach the guage to the drivers windshield wiper and go out and drive it. You then can ck pressures at cruise and W. O. T. Chris

Tom This Truck is a friends I have a 98. 5 so the setup is different do you have any pics to show the location of the schraeder valve?

If not will my service manual for my 98. 5 24V show me the location. I do have Briar's gauge is there a fitting on the VP44 pump or does one have to be installed to make Briar's gauge work. And will one of the fittings that came with the gauge for my test ports work on the VP44

Thanks

The last banjo before the VP has a schroeder valve. You'll need a tire valve stem remover. It will have a black rubber cap on it. There's also one prefilter. You have to look a little harder to find this one but it looks indentical.

Pop the hood and track the fuel line you can't miss em.

Garrett

I just put my hopper right on the fitting just behind the fuel filter. Make sure its good and tight.
