I just got a fuel pressure tester from NAPA, in preparation for a very long trip. I have a 2000 service manual, but unfortunately my truck is a '99. The 2000 service manual indicates fuel pressure check ports, but I don't see anything like that on my truck. What do I need to do to use this pressure tester?

Thanks,

If you look at this picture you should have the 2 test ports that are numbered 14, right on top of the fuel filter. You can use either one of these ... ... the one closest to the middle of the filter is the post filter and the one closest to the outside is the pre-filter. These are 1/8 NPT, so depending on what you have on your gauge setup, you may have to get some sort of adapter.

Thank you

That is exactly what I was looking for.

By the way, I noticed that you are in BC. My long drive is from NH in the states to Banff in Alberta. I leave as soon as I finish packing... in the next day or two.

Brian in NH for now
