Checking Head Torque good idea ??

I heard someone in the 24 valve forum advising others to 'check head torque' just for good measure & to prevent head gasket troubles.



Mine is a 1997 12 valve, and has had 0 % problems. Can anyone comment on whether they have done so themselves, or if they think the idea has merit?

I would leave it alone, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it".

Leave it alone, you can gain nothing. There is not even a torque number to check for.
