Rail Pressure at Idle - Data Log of Demanded vs. Actual Pressure

Stuck Pushrod

Just installed a MagHytec 727DD pan to hold an extra gallon of fluid for lower temps.
Since I lowered the filter an extra 2" into that additional gallon of fluid, seems to me that even running trans fluid level at minimum/lower fill line I would still be well within the operating range for fluid flow.

I may be all wrong, but I need some sage advice on this point.

Thanks and Happy Easter

Does the new pan lower the pickup point?

If not then the risk of low fluid is no different than the stock pan.

Well Yes. Pan comes with a block that lowers the filter 2" into the new deep pan.
So it should be deeper in the fluid than OEM, and since the return oil dumps down into the pan from several locations I can only imagine there may be possible foaming?

Gotcha, didn’t read that the first time.

So you should be able to run lower on the dipstick, but I wouldn’t make a habit of it.

No extra foaming, ATF+4 is a pretty advanced fluid. (If thats what you are running)

Also if you run it to the same spot on the stick it would be the same level as stock so it would be flow the same into it as a stock pan.
