Chevy 6.5

[Red Rocket]

I have a friend with a 6. 5 that has had a cracked intake between the turbo and filter, and they found the problem, but the symptoms are showing it is too late. Any help would be appreciated. (Rebuilt, longblock, experiences, whatever. )

I appreciate your concern for your friend. The best advice you can offer him is to get a Ram. Sorry, couldn't resist.

If the engine needs to be replaced, go with a complete unit from Dealer's Diesel. They are, in my opinion, better than the Goodwrench longblock. Prices are pretty good too. Comes complete with turbo, pump, intake, everything. I've installed a few of them in old Fords with the 7. 3, and a few of the 6. 5's as well. Good warranty too.
