2000 Ram Injector pump problem

Cummins transmission options

NICE!!!!

note: when motorheads design their own instrument panels, they opt for simple, functional, easy to read. No foo-foo. Probably a real oil pressure gauge too.

Wow!! Very clean.

I really need to get that oil filter relocation kit. Who's system did you use?

Thats how I built my twins... BEER!

Thanks for the feedback. Yes it is a real oil pressure gauge. The oil filter relocation kit is from City Diesel. And for the Bud Light it is cheap in a keg and gets the job done  Cant be picky when you go through a keg every 2-3 weeks, Icehouse is cheaper but.....

Patrick-

Were you at Bennetts BBQ for the Xmas get together last year? Kinda' remember a blue Cheby conversion there, but it was in pick- up clothes.

Yeah, I was at the X-mas get together and your right there was no flatbed at the time, old clothes were wore out so then came the change.

Wow!! :--) now THAT is a nice truck!... ... and you don't usually see the 24v coversions. I would love to do this to my buddies truck. What's the price tag on the truck now?

Pmaloney- Awsome conversion and I have been waiting for your pics forever! mine is very similare but is still in the building stage. 2 questions for you that I just want to compare to mine. What did you use of the intercooler and rad and also what did you do for your engine mounts? I am no longer running the IFS so I was able to modify the frame for air conditioning. Also, what trany are you running... just a 5-speed or is it a 6? Also, anything else you ran into that is worth sharring? I have also thought about doing the guage cluster like yours but so far am opting for the factory look... is there a reason you went that route other than for looks?

Thanks... Ryan

One other thing I just saw looking at those pics... what is it that you between the intercooler and the windshield washer resivior?

RyanB

Ryan - The intercooler is out of a ford powerstroke, fits inbetween the headlight assemblies nicely.

Engine mounts I purchased from Kenny at AutoWorld in Montana, he said to grind on the IFS diff for clearance but I raised the frame mounts 1 3/4" to alleviate grinding. This way I was also able to notch the frame for the A/C Compressor, havent hooked it up yet but hopefully be able to.

Transmission is the 5spd and I didnt have to move the crossmember either, used the stock Dodge trans mount.

As far as the cluster I didnt want a 6,000rpm tach so I just decided to go the custom route.

The box next to the rad/intercooler is a electric fan controller, I mounted a ford powerstroke radiator under the bed flat as a auxillary radiator with two small fans on it to help keep it cool pulling the 5th wheel over the rockies.

Everything else was simple, no other tricks that I can remember other than if you do twin turbos you need to cut away some of the passenger floor and hump it up for the 5" downpipe, you wont even notice it when you flop the carpet back down.

Any other questions let me know.

Pmaloney,

That is an extremely awesome truck. You have the best of both worlds now. Bow-tie and cummins power!!! It does look like it was a factory job. So there is bolt in motor mount conversions? Very nice job!! :D

Thanks for the compliments, yes there is a bolt on motor mount kit, I would have to dig around for the phone number of AutoWorld, there is also another member that used to work for them if I remember correctly, I believe his user name is DKarvanis or something to that affect. Mabee he'll chime in... .

The only pics I have of them on one of our trucks(my brothers) is a front shot. The mirrirs are the 2nd gen mirrors and the body lines match that of the CK GM's door. I will take some pics of what I had to do to make it all work!!! here are the pics though... hopefully it works... I have never tried to atatched a pic before.

Ryan

OKAY... I can't resize the pic is to big and I don't have a program to resize it here at work... could someone do it for me and post it?

First, I want to say, What a professional job. I just got pics of my conversion and am getting ready to post but mine doesn't look near the professional job this is!! Absolutely awesome!
