Chevy turned buddy down trying to buy truck

I have a friend in the landscape business and he is looking at all three 1 ton truck manufacturers till the other day The chevy dealer told him they don't have a truck to do his tasks. :-laf He wanted to put a snowplow on but they told him it could only be done on their trucks with the 6 cylinder option cause the frontend wasn't heavy duty enough for the extra weight. At least they were honest with him. Still made me laugh though.

i thought you couldnt or wasnt recomended to get a snow plow with the dodge diesel. Only on dodge heavy dutys with a hemi??

I believe they only recommend the snowplow option with the automatic. Mac

The snowplow package is only offered on hemi trucks with an auto. That doesn't mean you can't run a snowplow on a Diesel truck...

My truck came with the snow plow prep package. It is available with the CTD.

There are thousands of Chevy trucks with diesels and plows

don't get me wrong i would not trade my CTD for anything , but thats just wrong!!!

A friend of mine went to trade his CTD in for a Dmax (needed full 4-door cab with 3 kids) He got through all the negotiating, then told them he wanted to finance an extra $3500 to fill a list of extras which he had vendor names and prices for. Of which included a front end lift and 35" BFG M/T's. They turned him away and said any tires non OEM size would void the Ally transmission. He had to swallow a truck load size of pride and buy the ford instead.

And some diesel Long beds - just cause DC does not give the blessing, does not mean you can't do it

The way idiots are so happy to sue you today would just make for one more thing because it states Not equipped with snow plow package. I had problems getting non stock tires put on my truck because i wanted different size from what is offered factory.
