Fully charged, the Volt should be able to drive about 40 miles before the generator kicks in. The generator's fuel tank should enable the car to go 400 miles before refueling, allowing it to get the equivalent of 150 miles per gallon.
I can't find the site that stated the Volt had a 12 gallon fuel tank
so 400 miles/12= 33 mpg..... where am I going wrong here??
Also think 30K might be a little high priced for this vehicle, but they are going in the right direction.
Now all we need is a diesel/electric truck that will go 500 miles at 60 mph and tow a GCVW of 23K
for under $$$40K (ya I know,I'm dreaming)
