I found this link on thumpertalk, a fourstroke Dirtbike forum. Anyways Some dork posted a video of a (DURATURD) doing a 13. 2 and kickin the you know what out of a stock dodge. So well we've had some interesting talks about this and well the thread is now 8 pages long.

Heres the thread, if you want to take a look. http://www.thumpertalk.com/forum/showthread.php?p=2499101&posted=1#post2499101

How can anybody be impressed with 12 second quarter miles?

Drag racing a truck is like using a C-130 transport for a fighter jet.

Note 4 cylinder turbo Mustangs and Merkurs are capable of sub 11 second ET's.

How can anybody be impressed with a mustang. Of course those will do sub 11's and if yours won't I don't want to talk to you. In fact if your mustang wont do sub 9's don't even think its cool. How about the fact that these trucks weigh over 6000lbs and are four wheel drive. And I've seen one turn a faster time then a mustang, while towing an import on a trailer. Sure you can compare a C130 to a fighter jet. but if it shot your *** down, you'd be impressed. Just like you will be when your *** gets handed to you by a diesel, hopefully a dually.

So the above is my response to some one else's quote. Hope you enjoyed it. Yeah check this out, and leave a message if you're a member.

yeah those DURATURDS, can't touch a cummins.

That kills me.

All of my friends, except for the ones that have gone with me to see a DHRA event, make fun of me for saying how awesome it was to see 10 and 11 second daily drivers going down the track when they drive 9 & 10 second mustangs and vette's and such.

I had to explain power/weight to them. I still think seeing is believing.

every 100 lb = . 1 sec in the 1/4 (roughly, barring aero)

Therefore a truck weighing 6000 lb running 11 flat would run 8 sec flat if it weighed what a Mustang weighed. Again aerodynamics and everything else aside.

I wanna put a 12 valver in a mustang and go to the track.

That's be fun.

I posted some links to ATS on the 4th page of that thread (Colo. TJ is my username). ATS changed some of the videos in my links after I posted them. I think that whoever owned the Chevy got upset that there were discussions and links (I posted links elsewhere as well) showing him getting his *** kicked by a Dodge. I would be too if I spent as much money as he did on his Chevy only to have some Dodge guy post links to him getting his *** kicked. BTW there are were some links to a Dodge that would pull sub 11s. And also a Cummins powered drag car pulling 9s.

BTW ChevyCowboy is an idiot. Read some of his other posts and you will see how ignorant he can be.

Sounds like a bunch of punks with nothing better to do with their time than sit around and talk about things which they no nothing about. :-{}

All the big 3 make a pretty good truck. But there just trucks? They all have there good and bad points. These guys are just being childish... ... . Pretty funny!! :-laf

Thanks for the link!

Send them this photo. Fact are facts... ... Quality and strength screams from the right hand side of the picture.

Sometimes you wish you could get them all together and have a baseball bat and beat the hell out of all of them. I hate reading crap like that from idiots. I don't say nothing bad about chevy or ford but sure aint going to hear about dodge bashing.

Yeah, I've always wanted a diesel mustang, just a shell, nothing inside. But seeing that smoke poor out of a mustang would be pretty cool. Y
