So today I turn the truck off and open the door to get out and the chime starts. I instantly double check that my lights are out and that my keys are not in the ignition. I walk to the front of the truck and I see the fog lights and parking lights are on. I go back and I check the light switch and it's off. I pull the panel where the light switch is and pull the plug on the light switch and it keeps chiming. I play around a bunch more with the ignition, wires under dash, etc. Finally the chime stops, but not sure why.

Simple question is....shall I start by replacing the light switch? Could the issue be a connection internally?

Thanks

My 05 1500 does that sometimes. All I do is turn on the lights and back off.

In 162,000 miles, my only problems have been
- lights stay on sometimes
- wipers won't operate in intermittent- restarting the truck sometimes corrects
- radio hangs or loses the bass/treble and current station settings

So much to love. Why can't they get the electronics right.
