Chips for better Mpg??

Anyone aware of any chips available for my 600 CTD that would increase my mileage? The only towing I've done so far was up into the mts and home again and I got 10. 7 mpg with a 7000# trlr. I get 17+ w/o the trlr.



I called the dlr and the service mgr told me there aren't compatible with the 600 to increase the mileage.



Power is not an issue as I got plenty!



Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

Edge will be out soon that may help. Kepping your speed down helps the most! I usually tow at 65 or less, unless traffic forces me to go faster. When on the back highways 55-60 the mileage is even better. Last tow across the State I got 14. 7 and 439 miles on one stock tank.



Your mileage should get better my first tow I got simular mileage. I think it was part heavy foot and part the truck not being broke in. After 10K if your towing mileage isn't getting better look into a chip.



FYI talking to dealers about chips is a good way of getting your 7 year 100K warranty voided, You have been warned!

Good info in Tom's post. I do disagree with the part about Edge being out soon though. Theyve been saying soon for over a year now and htey still haven't released their "Juice" box for the third gens, not to mention the 600's.



The boxes that will produce the most gain in mileage are the boxes that advance timing. The only one currently available for the 600's is TST's powermax CR. It has potential to make A LOT more power but setting 1 is timing advance with no additional fuel. This box will improove milage, increase power, and lower exhaust temps on this setting.

I have the Beta version, and it gave me about one MPG as far as I can tell.
