I am seriously looking at the jig fix because of its easy implementation.

I have read about a tiny piece of aluminum foil from an oil jug that has blocked pistion oil holes. What if a single aluminum chip gets into the timing area?

Hard as heck to know what the risks are!@#$%

Oil jug foil damage happens when the oil is poured into the clean side of the filter, not into the oil pan. Any chips from the jig fix also go straight to the sump and will be filtered before getting to the nozzles. If you use an air compressor or vacuum cleaner on blow to pressurize the oil areas very little, if any chips will get into the case. I've removed the cover right after a jig fix when the pin was hit and needed to be pounded back in, there were absolutely no chips inside the engine.
