2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Chirp and Rattle Help

i removed my front left inner fender liner today and tracked down my noise.

it was from the a/t shift linkage near where the firewall and floor pan meet.

some spray lube and marine grease fixed me up.

After reading this I realized I had the same problem so I WD40'ed the steering shaft both inside through the expanded metal crush zone and on the outside where it comes through the firewall. I also slid under the truck and put some WD40 on all the auto trans shifter joints. THE SQUEEK IS GONE! Oo.

I'm sure I had the same problem others have had. The only chirp now is the belt chirp at shutdown... and I can live with that,
