Froniter Dodge

rloos,

I ordered and bought my 'old '99 Cummins from Frontier Dodge in Burlington, through their internet sales. I hope you talked to Terry or the guys in the Cyberfleet department because they sell trucks at $58 bucks over invoice just like Dave Smith does. I can't say enough good things about them. Their sales department is easy with no BS, and their service department is the absolute best in this area.

I agree with -Mike

Terry Shannon will bend over backwards to find you a truck .

Tery customer service is fantastic and he will even fax you the invoice :)

The Drumroll......

After further consideration, and driving all LWB/SWB 2wd/4wd combinations, I chose the LWB 2wd (see signature). I had to take it home to measure, but it fits in my garage with 4" in back and 10" in front (!). Thanks Ken L for the measurements on the trailer mirrors; I do have an outside wall center in my garage and there is now way those baby's would have fit!.

Considering the usage it will see and where I live, it should be OK 99. 9% of the time. I felt it drove and handled the best, and was quieter than all of the SWB's I tested. I went around some tight corners quickly in the wet and had no problems (very important in Seattle!)

I have decided to get a camper for it next spring, and will be researching that next (payload 2490 lbs. ). For you locals, I found this at Dwayne Lane's in Everett. It was pretty dirty sitting in back, but was immaculate when prettied up (a new truck). They were so anxious to unload it they sold it at way below invoice (I knew about the $2K back from Corporate for '01's).

I want to thank everyone for their contributions here, it really helped me make an informed decision.

When I bought the truck I have now, the 2WD I was looking at was Dark Garnet Red - tow tone. Really looked sharp. Got the 4x4 instead. You did good.

I must be nuts.....

Check out my NEW signature. Here's the deal:

Our old 4x blew a transmission today. Murphy's Law at it's best! Swearing up and down, I called my Dodge dealer to see how painful a swap out to a 4x4 would be. Pretty painful, but just a bit more than the diff between 2wd rig and the 4wd rig plus the transmission repair. I bit the bullet.

Just an FYI... .
