You might look at the ddufm (diesel dynamics ultimate fueling module). Supposedly it is an EZ with DD personal programming installed. The timing is supposed to be slightly less aggressive. Do a search for 'ddufm' or 'timing hammer', and read for yourself.

Actually, the Diesel Dynamics TrueTorque Power Module (TTPM) is the EZ with DD-specific programming. The Diesel Dynamics Ultimate Fueling Module (UFM) is the Edge Comp with DD-specific programming.
