Hey Yall, his cell number is 615 210 8888. I've been leaving phone messages for several weeks.
I bought the '98 Sport from him. He made good when I found a stock plate where a #10 was supposed to be. Had a few other issues that I wanted to discuss with him--just for information purposes--but he is hiding. He said he had some receipts and paperwork showing the parts/work that had been done and promised to get them to me. NOT DONE.
His mom lives close by here. I'd hate to have to go talk to her, but he's leaving very few options.
I may have an address for him, let me find that paperwork again.
Anybody know who had the truck before him? It's a RED 98 12-valve Sport, shortbed, Quad cab, with some Banks stuff on it. It came from Michigan and had a bad transmission when he got it--NV4500. The previous owner could probably tell me more than Chris.
The story from Chris is that previous owner had "Dr. Preformance" come out and hang a banks package on it and 370's. It also has air bags, off-road permit for MI, gooseneck ball that I'd like to pull, lots of front end beef-ups, subwoofer under console, woodgrain dash stuff, small spot and fog lights on the brushgard, plastic bedliner, dinged tailgate, aftermarket brakes on front. 315 tires.
Last four digits of VIN are 2002.
I think Chris just had a transmission, clutch, radio, alternator, and tires put on it. FWIW, the transmission wasn't built properly--I fixed it. Plate wasn't right--I fixed it. Grid heater was shot--I fixed it. Headgasket has blown--I'm fixing it. Brakes are out of whack--will be fixed. Lights are not "Sport"--I'll take care of that. ABS module is shot--disconnected it.
