Christmas 2010 Party

I know it is only October, but I would like to get this on the calendar before my wife fills it up.

When are we going to have the Christmas party?

We have to do something - even if it's just sit around and eat wings. Maybe the weekend of 4-5 December - just a suggestion. Do a little collection for Toys for Tots. Count me in for whenever and wherever.

OK, who really wants to do this? I suggest Old Chiago in Wheatridge on Saturday the 4th or Sunday the 12th. I frequent this establishment and can eaisly make reservations. They do something every year to donate to a family or safe house. This year they are donating to a safe house for teen mothers. I can post a list of the things they are asking for if we decide to do something. So the ball is in your court, where do we go from here?

At this point, my son and I would be in. It's been a long time since we've done anything TDR related, so we'd like to join the fun. That sounds like a good location and for us, either date would work.

Ok, so this is a start, who else is going to commit? Let's just say it is Saturday the 4th of December. In a day or so I will post things that Old Chicago is collecting for the teen mothers. Bridgeway is the agency they are working with to assist the safe house. They would appreciate anything we can do.

OK, it really does not look like much attendance or committment. Is this really worth doing for 3 or 4 people? Let me know what you think. If we get much response I'll post up stuff the safe house is looking for. Let me know ASAP.

Ok, so lets meet around 11:30 for lunch. Old Chicago Wheatridge. It is off Youngsfield and 32nd. There are exits off/on I70 so it is pretty accessable. It is behind the Chili's and stuff back in the area behind AppleJack's. I'll have a table for us. It will be in the bar area and centrally located so we can watch some football also.

Caleb, male 1 year-educational toys, balls, cars

Ryan, male 20 months-trucks, Elmo

Ella, female 14 months-dolls, books, push toys

Hannah female 5 Years-Princess, Tinkerbelle

Leah, female 2 years-books, dolls, tea set



If you want to gift something specific that is alright. As you can see a lot of the requests are for the same things, so if you just get some general items they will make sure they get to kids that they are requesting them for. Looking forward to seeing people again. It will be nice to do something for people in need at the holiday season. Thanks for what you can do.

I'll do the wrapping if necessary, but I am like you Dave it is better around a glass of beer. :-laf I did talk to Laser Bob this week and I think he is coming also, at least that is what he said earlier this week. It will be good to see everyone on Saturday.
