I have the chrome clad aluminums on my Megacab. I don't think there is anything glued to them. To me it looks like they are just chrome plated.

Is it possible that "clad" = "plated". You know todays advertising climate, everyone has to figure out a new way to say the same old thing.

I still don't get it, you're saying the aluminum wheels are NOT chrome plated but instead have a thin metal facing covering the entire center of the wheel

If this is the same type cladding as the chrome 20s I had on my 03 1500

it's actually plastic. Not to worry; after 3 years they looked like new. Cleaning is as simple as washing them. I simply do not have time for polishing wheels. I did not know they were plastic covers until I had the truck for a month. If this is what you have you can look closely at the place where it meets the rim of the wheel, where the weights go, and see a parting line. They are glued on. I suspect removing them with an eye toward

polishing the wheel underneath would be a major disaster. In fact I have no idea what the wheel under the cladding looks like; it may not even be finish machined.

Go tap on one and see what in sounds like; probably plastic!

if you look in the dealer book there 3 set of wheels one clad steel, one clad alum wich is the pic that sig 73 posted and you have the polished alum like what the powerwagon comes with
