Could someone please tell me a good source for ordering/obtaining the Chrome Fender trim for my new 04. 5 CTD. I don't like drilling holes, so the adhesive version would work just fine! Thanks!:D :D :D

There are many sources for the SS finder trim you inquired about, Geno's, Stylin Concepts, Godfather Customs and Truck Performance all carry them. I use to run them myself, but when I had the truck re-painted, I left them off and threw'm away. The first thing I don't like doing is drilling a wheel well, and all makes have you do it. I think it ends up being a problem area, and allows moisture to collect there. Second thing is the black rubber trim that goes around the boarder sun rots in less then two years, more if you live in a very sunny area. Third is the issue of them wearing the paint off around the finder areas where they touch. As the truck goes down the road, they vibrate, or flex just enough to wear thru the finish, they they hold all the dirt and Debra from the road. I liked them to, but I found they just were not worth the damage they cost.

Before I new about what they did

There are 2 differant lengths you can get. Ones that go only to the body line rib, or ones that go full length. I put the short set on the 03 HEMI and they worked pretty well. I put the full length ones on my 04 CTD, and they SUCK!!! they don't fit very well at all. I really had troubles getting the right rear to match up, so I finnally took it to the accessories place where I bough them, and let them try to get it. They ended up opening another set and tried it, not much better, but made it work. I still have big gaps on all 4 at the body rib. I reccomend going the shorter version. I'm so discusted with them I'm going to take them off and put Flares on.

The 2 sets I have done included 2 differant ways of mounting. Screws or they had a little metal tab that hooks into the fender to hold them on. I tried both ways and the both seem to hold up just as well. Good luck!
