I'm thinking of putting Go Rhino wheel to wheel step bars on my truck. Anyone have expeirence with chrome vs. stainless. Stainless cost a little more, but will it hold up better? :)

black

Black matches the tires, it's more subdued, my preference.

My feeling on chrome is that it should be polished, too much work for something that close to the ground

Westin All The WAY!!

I have Westin Platnum Chromed Stainless Step bars on my truck now for 4 years and they still look like the day I put them on. GREAT!! :D  :D

Had one of the plastic step pads come loose and Westin stood behind it 100%. They have a life time warranty. Great company to deal with. I can't say enough good things about them!!

Chrome vs Stainless???

Chrome rusts eventually, stainless doesn't, (aSSuming a decent grade of stainless). Up there in the northwest, near the ocean? No offense intended, but this is a no-brainer. Get the stainless, and never worry about them again. Ron:D

I even go so far as to every bolt I ever use on the trucks is made of stainless steel. There is no reason not to use it, they look nice, and never rust. Also if you drill a hole in the truck, apply a dab of clear silicone to the hole, then bolt down the accessory, this way the water , salt, ect can't get in and rust the truck.

I've got chromed stainless bars on mine also. went through three years of salt, mud and rocks and look like new everytime I clean 'em up. be careful using stainless fasteners. sometimes when they contact plain steel, they can cause rust at that spot.
