Doc,

Don't know about chroming but I put 12" long Magnaflow stainless steel tip on mine, which flares to 5" at the end with a slash cut rolled tip edge. Cut about 4" off the stock pipe and worked the Magnaflow onto the stock pipe to get it into the right position and then had it tack welded on. Looks awesome. If I could figure out how to put pictures on the TDR, I would post some pic's.

Where did you get the 12" Mag?

Doc, I ordered mine through a local muffler shop... . about $97. 00... . steep, but looks great... if I had it to do over again, I think I would order the 24 inch..... btw: it's SS, not chrome.....

I also ordered mine through a local muffler shop, about $80. 00 installed. If I was anywhere near Rip's (Rip Rooke) I would have gotten it from him - Great work at a very fair price.

I remember reading a thread once on here and some guy used varying types of sandpaper and finally some steel wool to get his tailpipe looking like chrome (or really close). I opted for the Magnaflow tip..... can't remember if pics are in my gallery or not. The EDGE and the tip sure do contribute to some extra blackening on my Bright White Sport truck's rear bumper.

Wet area with water, spray with a little Simple Green, rub with wash mit/sponge, let sit about a minute and rinse... ... just like new again.

Polished Tip

Hi Guys,

The tip is still shiny with a little upkeep. Once a

month I hit it with a polishing pad on a pnematic die

grinder and stainless compound. Only takes 10 min to

get it clean.

I bought a stainless tip of Ebay a few weeks ago made by MBRP. It's a real nice piece 4in ID flared out to 5in OD. 12in long. Slipped right over stock pipe attached securely with bolt. I picked it up for about 35. 00, couldn't see the sence of going with anything more expensive unless I saw it firsthand. Check it out, there is one on Ebay now for 20. 00. Do a search for diesel tip, it will bring up several.

Found out the vendor was U-NEEK tailpipes. Don't have an address and don't know if he is still doing the whole pipe. Would the stock pipe need to be cut or bent to take a 24" tip? thanks, Doc
