I would agree about Doug Graft After all the city slickers it was DC's last chance for a sale (other brands out there). He got it

Does his mother still do the books?

Now back to the wisdom side of this DC never addressed any of my issues/problems.

Then @ 5th day delayed delivery discovered 1 mirror gone, then before 100 miles BOTH $600 mirrors had simply fell out.

It cost me 150> miles 8 hours and 3 weeks to get the second replaced. His service was like it was another division ,as they were just as bad as the city schmucks blaming me and the run around for a design flaw in a $20 mirror.

So with the Gov't continued infinate wisdom they keep all the overpriced under/incompetent staffed dealers.

that charge $80h and 3 hours to change a belt.

Maybe they can build the UNVagen
Only 80. 00 per hour? My Chyrsler, Ford, Chev and other brands, Charges $130

per hour

Sorry since '01 have set foot inside any dealer less than 10 times and only for MUST get there parts, don't know whats on sales floor and could care less for the endless runround

please excuse my lack of continued /endless (large)inflation adjustment in this uuuhhh recession.

so what is that rate ? on a job of MFG used 2 incompatable materials resulting in manifold gasket failure .

Quoted on line average standard repair

$1500 and up,(additional/incedentals extra)

not enough political interest for an actual recall and to further negate that possibility.

Grandma and soccer moms did get low key notification of possible fix (within very narrow parameters)

no mileage x years , I was 2K miles over the average fleet failure rate.

however not available if engine installed into a truck too many variables

It took $78 for parts and 6 hrs R & R (too much crap and special tools)

(looking back at my original post) that line was for a quote last month to change a perfectly good timming belt (during)fathers (COURTSEY)check, for tires.

from popping the hood ,making routing diagram, looking in 3 box's for correct tool, testing ,closing hood ,clean tool, wash hands, hand father old belt in new box. 7/ seven min. Father doesn't belive it's old belt for 3 days/ $48 for belt

This is/was John Thomas Dodge in Cordell, Okla. Shame that he's having to close as they had smokin prices on diesel service and better than average prices on parts. Put several people out of work in an already economically depressed area (due to oilfield going away).

He lined up these trucks and put one letter on each windshield to spell OBAMA MOTORS.

Sorry for the angle but I couldn't get back far enough straight across from them to get them all in the picture.

WELL You tried that is all that counts ==Thanks

I may be wrong about Carson Dodge... . the list I saw said Carson Jeep after looking closer.

According to the document, it appears Carson Jeep is closing. Not Carson Dodge. The problem for me is that Reno Dodge is NOT on the list.

I went to Reno Dodge looking at used vehicles a few weeks ago, then looked at the trucks while I was there. Their answer was that they were making smoking deals on the trucks. Their "smoking deal" was "up to" $6K off. I asked off what, their answer was MSRP. Sorry, but that's no smoking deal to me. I'll go back to Idaho or Washington State if that's the "smoking deal" in this area. Carson Dodge is much better on their pricing but they can't compete with dealers previously mentioned. Great service though.

Some of those dealers in the Oklahoma area are hurting... buddy told me of a co-worker that picked up one of those "Resistol" edition trucks for 31k! Might have to poke around there some when I go back this summer... if there still around.

We lost Winter Park/Holler Dodge and I think Bob Dance in Sanford but that still leaves us with two to three in the Orlando area one of them is where I bought my Mule and buy parts from so I'm happy.

i would like to see a list of all those that had to close because of chry wanting to combine dealerships and how many lost from the economy.

several have disapeared from the SF bay area including my dealer Hartzeime Dodge

The closeset dealer to me is on the closed list and that's a shame because he was the only dealer in the area that would discount Mopar parts which I use on my vehicles. I don't think Chrysler took the time to really investigate which dealers should close and which should stay open. For instance, there's a dealer about 25 miles from me that is in an older building, kind of run down; service is poor; it's the only NON 5-Star dealer in the area; IT's STAYING OPEN. Another dealer about 40 miles from me is one of the oldest, largest, cleanest, 5-Star dealers around, in one of the busiest parts of the city and seems to do a lot of business; I know it sells more 4500/5500 Chassis cabs than anyone else in the area, but IT's on the CLOSED list! I don't get that one!

That's a crying shame. I can't figure out what criteria Chrysler used in deciding which dealers to shut down. At first I thought it was those dealers that also sold GM and Furd, but that doesn't seem to be the case.
