new diesel cars

Because anything labeled Chrysler sucks. The only thing left savings is Jeep Wrangeler, Jeep Grand Cherokee, Dodge Viper, and Dodge Ram. Its the cars that suck really bad. My local Chrsyler/Dodge dealer has gone to selling Hyndui (spelling??). This is why Fiat is bringing their own vehicles.

YOU must not own a dodge !!

I can not fiqure out why the news media has decided that all US cars are junk and only cars made outside the US are reliable and gives you decent MPG. The anti US bias in the Consumer's Report Mag is so strong that I canciled my subscripton.

I have owned vehicals made by the big 3 as well as Audi, Subaru, VW, and a few other inports. All of vehicals had good points and some weakness. The recent dip in Dodge/Chysler was due to a lack of vehicals for the cash for junkers program that we just went through.

Only the idiots in D. C. could be dumb enough to give the foreign car manufactures $4,500. of our tax dollars to sell us a car.

We have two Japanese cars, but they were made in Georgetown, Kentucky. If memory serves me right, I believe Kentucky is still in the USA. Our Dodge trucks are made in Mexico. So what's American and what's foreign made anymore. The auto manufacturing business is Global.

I believe in Consumer Reports and I'm not canceling. They call it like it is. Toyota and Honda are just more reliable then GM, Furd and Chrysler.

Ill lay some (ok lots) of blame on Chryslers woes on thosed damned Germans. Before the BS "Marriage Of Equals" Chrysler had something like $22billion in the bank. All Daimler did was milk the company dry, and ditched them when the bank account was empty...

I doubt Ill buy German, but I GUARANTEE Ill NEVER buy Mercedes. #@$%!

Your comment is right on the money. The only positive that came out of the "marriage" is that my '03 is a much better vehicle than my '95 was. I do plan to keep my '83 Mercedes, though.

YOU must not own a dodge !!

I do own a 2005 Dodge 3500 and have been very happy with it. I said anything labeled Chrysler sucks.

I would love a new 2010 Dodge Ram 3500 when they show up.

I have been happy with our 2005 Ford Excursion (6. 0)

My wife loves her 2007 Toyota Camry Hybrid.

Of these three vehicles the Ford and Toyota have been trouble free while my Dodge has had a couple of recalls, plus bad serpitene belt idler, and a brake module went bad. But I can live with it. None of these vehicles have left us stranded or anything.

Chyslers problem is the cars are behind the compitition, they also deluted the Jeep name with the Compass, Comander, etc...

If I was to buy a new family car today I would look at the Ford Taurus, BMW 3 series, Camry, Accord, Chevy etc... would not bother to drive a Chysler car.

If I went to buy a new truck soon it would be the 2010 Dodge. However I would test drive the new 2011 Ford Superduty and GM trucks.

I am not really a loyal car buying person, we have 4 vehiles, all made by differnt companies. I am thankful for the compitiion for cars/trucks. It has been great for us consumers.

Again love the Commins:-laf

I recently saw in the news that the top 3 most reliable car brands were Scion, Toyota, and Honda.

I flat out REFUSE to buy a car from ANY car manufacturer who took bail out money. Our last car, a Ford Taurus was a TOTAL peice of junk. It steadily fell apart the entire time we owned it. NO WAY I will buy another Ford. Their quality may be a lot better now but they are STILL junk compared to good quality cars like Honda and Toyota.

We needed another car for my oldest daughter who will be attending college in the near future. I wanted something cheap and reliable. We looked at used cars, and the cheap models either had a zillion miles on them and were junk or the good condition used cars were 75% to 85% of the price of a new car and still had high mileage on them.

We finally went through USAA car buyers service and bought a 2009 Honda Element SC. So far, it has been a GREAT car. No problems with the exception of my daughter backing it into a drainage ditch. :mad::rolleyes::{

Very practical, great gas mileage, and LOTS of room. Handles pretty good as well.

About the only thing Dodge has the interests me is their Ram pickup and that is ONLY because it has the Cummins engine. The new $50,000 plus trucks are a PURE NON STARTER for me. They are just NOT worth the prices being asked.

Chrysler has dug its OWN hole and they will have to build a QUALITY, RELIABLE, LONG LASTING vehicle on par with Honda and Toyota before I will ever consder them again... ... . provided they pay back the bail out money.

After spending a LOT of money to modify out the design flaws and crappy workmanship of my 2002 Dodge Ram, I plan to keep it for a LONG LONG time. Over all it has been a good truck but could have been built a LOT better.

The American car manufactures are symbolic of American culture, mind set, and halfassed values & standards... ... ... they are circling down the toilet along with the rest of the country.

Preach On, Brother!..... I couldn't have said it better.

We currently have my 06 Dodge, my wifes 07 Jeep, and my daughters 07 Honda Civic. I will say that we test drove some small Chrysler/Jeep products, along with Toyota/Scion before settling on the Honda. The Toyotas/Scions felt very well built, but honestly, when we drove the small Chrysler products, they felt cheap by comparison.

I am in no way brand loyal to any manufacturer, I am loyal to my wife and family, and my checkbook! I recently looked at a Ford F-150 pick-up that had a $54,000 window sticker!!!!. . WHAT??? I don't care what "edition" it is, its a friggin' 1/2 ton pickup with a gas engine!!!. Dodge has become almost as insane, I recently saw a Ram 1500 with a window sticker of $47,000.

It really doesn't matter how many power accessory outlets or storage compartments it has, its STILL a 1/2 ton!.

My wife and I are currently shopping for her a new ride(crossover). Making the short list is the Ford Edge and Lincoln counterpart, the Volvo, Honda and Acura counterpart.
