Well its time for "Chryslers at Carlisle" 2004 one of the East Coasts biggest shows. Its from Friday July 9th to Sunday July 11th at the Carlisle Fairgrounds. For those who have never been to this show it is one of the nicest run event and has fields full of some of the finest examples of Ma Mopars heritage. Drag Racing at the Local 1/8 mile venue,South Mountain Dragway,is held every year on Friday nite and is easy to find from the Fairgrounds. For those who feel like they will get lost Carlisle Productions runs shuttle buses over there to the track. There will be a dyno on hand provided by Back Street Performance and usually Mopar Muscle runs a High-HP shootout on Saturday.

There is a Pre-Carlisle Car Cruise held by Cumberland Valley Classics at Cumberland Valley Chrysler up Rte 11 a bit North of the city on Thursday nite July 8th. The dealer is located midway between the Pa Turnpike going South and the War College, located on the left. This show is a annual event complete with food fun and door prizes. Its starts at about 4pm and goes till usually about 9pm.

Hope to see all who come out to enjoy this show. I'll probably be up on the hill again(seems like they always stick the truck owners up there) in 1998 Truck Stock... ... ... ... Andy

Andy, I believe I am going to drive out Saturday morning. As the date gets closer, I have your number, and will try to give you a call - we can get a little of the MDTDR contingent going there. :)

Andy, so if we want to put our trucks together, I guess we (I) need to register?

As I'm just coming for the day, otherwise I'll just be in a parking lot with all the other riff raff?;)

Riff... Raff... . ?????

Well for the Chrysler show there is NO onsite parking and you will have to park off street outside the gate, pay to park and pay to get in. If you do come for the day one of the easiest places to park is out where we go in and out of the Showfield. Go right past the gate and there is a gentleman who has a HUGE amount of parking along Carlisle's rear fence and its a short walk to the rear admission gate.

As for all parking together, some clubs do that on Friday and Sunday. Saturday is well policed and you are made to park in your designated vechicle area till show judging is over at 5pm. I am in real early Saturday to hose off and shine up and mine doesn't move at all that day till after 5pm.

If you park outside bring your best walking shoes as there is a HUGE amount of things to see and do all weekend long... ... Andy

BTW,,,

Mike what do you want me to bring,or do you want to bring anything, for our Saturday afternoon BS/tired feet rest session?????. I was glad your squeeze had brung that along as I am not sure I could have made one more trip down the hill... LOL.

Well, I actually DID register my truck, so I guess I get to park with the "show vehicles" - i. e. other registered Dodge trucks.

That means I'm actually going to have to wash it. :D

I can bring some munchies too, if you like.

Andy -

You can bring some munchies if you like, we're planning on bringing the same stuff we did last year. Gonna be a late shopping trip Wed. night after we get back from getting the wedding license in Ohio, so we might forget something! LOL

PS - did you get my email about the room for the nats?

I am bringing dad's atlantic blue 04. 5, it's parked outside the house with the roadrunner on the trailer as we speak :) Should be up by about 11am tomorrow, for the duration. My dad's truck is a quad cab long bed, has a TDR sticker in the back window, badge on the grille and a sticker on the back window that says "Cummins - real trucks don't have spark plugs"

Well the Pre-Carlisle CVM show was a huge success. 175 of Ma Mopars finest cars and trucks on hand with something for everyone. Two of my personal favorites were a Canary Yellow Dodge A100 pro-street tubbed and slammed pick-up complete with a built 440 and Doug's(owner of Fireball Transmissions) 64 Hemi powered Belvedere Station wagon, complete with A/C.

TDR Members seen on hand were POW-MIA and his friend Bob with his slick 01 3500 Silver Sport,Mopar Mike and myself. Plenty of slick looking Cummins powered rides around.

Plenty of sun, sharp cars and trucks, made for a really nice evening... ..... Andy

Sounds like fun Andy. I plan on dumping off the turnpike by about 7:30ish tomorrow (Saturday) morning. Off course, how long it actually takes from there too the grounds is up in the air.

Looking forward to meeting some of you guys. I'll be in the big white dually 04. 5 sport.

Scott

It was great meeting you and your dad, whom I have to thank for giving me the tip in finding my truck.

I had a great time, and Andy was a terrific host and "tour guide", and really knows his Mopar iron. I was impressed.

Scott

Great to see everyone there - and once again Andy brings home the iron!

Andy - have you recovered from those suicide wings? Warren "The Wing King" was still getting abused on Sunday - and I'm sure he got a LOT more once he got home!

I think the youngster learned a valuable lesson - when the waitress asks you at least 3 times if you REALLY want the super hot wings you should probably change your order!!!! :-laf

Did you happen to catch any other names, I was parked across from Andy on Saturday in the 2001 stock class. I wasn't able to come back on Sunday and Carlisle has posted the results on the Internet yet.
