Wow Press Throttle down HALFWAY? Anyone else do it this way? My '89 roars to life with no throttle input whatsoever, aren't all ve's like this? This was from a '92 I believe. Anyone else seen this ? :--)
:-laf :-laf ... . ya... it's DC's idea of "how to"... .
All the early trucks start up like a controlled explosion 'pep... ... the pump goes to "full fuel" during the initial starter RPM... by the time it's got the ole Cummins rolling about 300 RPM the max fueling setting is pulled back and goes to "idle value" but the result is that " I'M UP" attitude... .
Mostly you can kinda ignore the goofy instructions...
Chrysler was in the learning mode then too . . . . I remember when I bought the truck from a small dealer in W. Nebraska . . . . . . they just handed me the keys and said good luck. . . . it was only the third or fourth one that they had sold!
