Ci-4 oil

stopped at advance auto parts tonite, not to buy oil but found they stocked mobil-1 5w-40 turbo diesel oil with api , CI-4,CI-4 plus. i stocked up.

The expensive stuff!!! Was that in Delvac1 or Turbo Diesel Truck labeling?



If your after CI-4 you can go to a Case/IH dealer and get their brand all day long in 15W40 or 10W30. If you want CI-4 Plus... CAT has their DEO 15W-40 at that API level. Prices are about $14-$16 per gallon.



CAT does make a CJ-4 oil called CAT DEO-ULS. Ultra Low Sulfur I guess. The Cat dealership said Mobil "makes" the Cat oil products... to Cat standards of course.



John Deere also has a nice CI-4 Plus oil called Plus-50. All of the above are fine for trucks... not just equipment of course.
