I'm wondering if anyone that has purchased the CIP or Lucerix mirrors recalls the size box it came in. I need to receive the mirrors by Wednesday of this next week so I have a chance to put them on before leaving early Thursday morning for a trip pulling my RV.

I normally don't like to wait for the last minute but I just pulled a horse back from California (to Arizona) for a friend of mine and she's insisting that she buy me tow mirrors as a thank you for doing it for her (nice friend, huh?). She realized when she drove for a couple of hours during the trip how inferior the factory mirrors are for seeing around the hips on my dually -let alone trying to use them while pulling a trailer.

I was in the process of ordering the CIPA mirrors from http://www.stylinconcepts.com for $349 for the heated/electric version (50 bucks cheaper than Geno's) and was blown away by their shipping/handling charge. They wanted to charge $109 for overnight delivery or $89 for 2 day delivery. I went to Geno's website and they charge for the actual shipping charges rather than a flat shipping charge. I went to UPS.com and calculated what my shipping would cost rom Cumming, GA to here in Gilbert, AZ and it was considerably less than what stylinconcepts wanted to charge (about half and that's with me entering a box size that I figured was quite a bit larger than what it probably ships in). The only problem with me going to ups.com is that I guesstimated the size of the box, which brings me back to the question... . does anyone know the approximate size of the box that the mirrors ship in so I can better guesstimate the actual shipping charges? If I can get the price pretty close, I prefer to buy from Genos.

Wow! That's a good size box. I put those numbers into UPS.com and the shipping came back astronomical for overnight and 2nd day. I guess I'll just call Geno's on Monday and see if they can give me an estimate on the shipping. Does anyone know what Geno's phone number is? I called 1-800-755-1715 which is what I have on my catalog (and the website) and the answering service said they no longer do ordering for Geno's. They gave me 800-847-9023 and when I call that number it says that the number is not in service.

Just got a hold of Geno's and they charge $48. 50 for 2nd day air to my house in Phoenix, while sylinconcepts.com charges $89 to ship the very same item to my house 2nd day air and their office is in Ohio while Geno's is in Georgia!!! This explains their $50 price difference. I've almost did business with companies in the past that pull this type of false advertising (in my opinion). One time I purchased something off ebay (for my computer) that could fit in your shirt pocket and the guy wanted to charge me $24. 99 shipping/handling for standard ground shipping. I believe it's a bunch of crap to seem like you have the best prices in town just to ridiculously inflate the shipping/handling charge to ultimately bring the price to what others are charging or even higher. I haven't checked stylingconcepts.com standard shipping/handling charge, but I wouldn't be surprised if it too was inflated. By the way, I initially was calling about overnight delivery until stylinconcepts told me that was $109. 99.

You ought to lay in a supply of door panel clips from NAPA, as you'll probably break the originals trying to get the panel loose for the installation. Otherwise your door panels will be flapping during your trip.

Also, stuff paper towels into the holes directly below the mirror mount to catch the nuts that invariably drop outta sight.

VIBRATION

a question for those of you who have these big mirrors, do they vibrate or shake at hiway speeds? I have a bug deflector on my truck and my slip on extentions realy shake.

No vibration here at road speed or idle. My passenger side had a slight vibration that was cured by snugging the tension bolts on the plate that holds the foldback detent in place.

Yep- just give them the year and model. They're plastic push on type pins, come in a bag of 6.

I don't have the part number on me.
