I'm installing a Hadley air horn and I'm having a problem finding an ignition activated 20 amp circuit to connect to the compressor. It draws more than 15 amps. It seems the best would be the cigar lighter circuit, but I can't figure out how to access the wire. Or has anyone created a dedicated ignition activated circuit directly off the battery by using a relay. Any help appreciated.

Welcome to the TDR!

I would suggest that (with its own fuse of course ;) ) or a something like a Painless Wiring kit.

At least on my '97, on the fuse cover on the dash, it will tell you which one is for the ignition that can be used to activate the relay.

Hello Santa Cruz!

I'm presently getting rained on here in Felton. I've got a nice little drawing for my circuit which even retains the factory horns (default when ignition off) which I could send you if you PM me your email address. Unfortunately, it is on my other computer which is momentarily drying out the keyboard due to a loose glass of wine. :D
