I thought you had to plum a tank heater output into a block drain or freeze plug so the heat would rise through the engine? I've read about the tank heaters just burning out if they are just put in-line?

With winter coming I'm also thinking about a diesel fuel heater??? so I can keep running bio-diesel. But I have a plastic fuel tank??? Any thoughts?

Anyone know about the Kat's diesel tank heater? how does it plumb in??

If we are talking 2KW your going to need a dedicated 20 amp circuit as it will pull almost 17 amps @ 120v. Most residential is 15 amp and 14 gauge wire (good for 15 amps). I sure would not want that electric bill. At 2Kw 8hrs a day x 30 days would be 480KW.
