TDR member, paulb, ran the cool twist on his 2nd gen. It's a daily driver and very mean on the strip due to Paul's excellent driving skills. If he doesn't see this post, you could send him a pm.
I put one on about 1/3 of the way through last race season. It worked out very well for me. It seemed to be a very durable turbo. I can't count the number of times that I barked it. In fact my girl friend was disappointed when I went to twins because of no more barking! :-laf For a turbo it's size it spools well, and even though I don't tow heavy, it work okay towing my travel trailer. For me a wastegate setting of 45psi worked the best. At a 450hp power level max EGT's would hit 1400*. The 35/40 hybrid that I had on it before would hit 1600*+, at the same power level. This was doing 14psi launches, running 13. 49's in the 1/4 mile. Once I got used to the larger turbo, my consistency improved in the 1/4 mile.
I see you have a 12V. I don't have any experience with it and 12V's...
I was UN happy with mine on my '97. I couldn't tow with it. It was OK empty, but EGT where 1300 + on flat ground pulling mt 5th wheel at 55 mph. I sold the truck shortly after that to some one who wasn't going to tow with it.
