I thought I would post my UOA to help get a track record of this CJ-4 oil. I have read a number of posts of people hoarding CI4+ oil not knowing if the new oil will work as well. I hope these new UOA's coming in help alleviate some concerns, as CI4+ is becoming scarce in the local stores. This is my second good UOA on this oil, the 1st was w/7,405 miles. I used no fuel additives, or oil additives. I did use 1 qt of Delo CI4+ 15w40 as make-up after changing out my TP filters just to use it up, but that is a negligible amount over this OCI considering 14 qts to fill up(11+1)+ 2qts in dual Frantz set-up. The other qt of make-up oil was CJ-4 Rotella T15w40.

I can't get an image large enough, here is a link to BITOG where I have it posted.

any and all comments are welcomed! thanks, Tom.

I scanned mine, did a . jpeg optimization and sized to 400 max height and still couldn't read it ... ... ..... I gave up and typed in the more important results, LOL.

Yep, I tried resizing it, and the system shrinks it, follow the link to see a good size image of the report

Tom.

I had a high viscosity on my last 2 samples ... ..... 1 with CI-4+ and this one with CJ-4. I never use oil additives, so that is kind of baffling.

This past sample was 83. 6.

I am not too worrird about the viscosity, all other #s look good. Will test again at around 7,000-7,500 miles. Engine is still under warranty, and I tow a travel trailer, so sticking with the "severe" use OCI which is 7,500 miles.

Thank you, for posting your CJ-4 Rotella results. It's good to see that it is more robust than many of us expected.

I, for one, am one of those people that "hoarded" some of the CI-4+ (Delo). There were enough concerns about the durability of the 'new' oil that it seemed worth it to stock up on the 'old' stuff.

Worse case scenario is that I'm stuck with what was considered to be an excellent oil. My UOA's showed that to be true, also.

However, it's good to know that when my "stock" runs out, there will be a quality product still available.

Thanks, again, for your posting.
