Anyone have any info or experience with a Clark 5 Speed transmission and a Brownlite 2 speed auxillary? Thanks for the input

Used Clark 5 speed, VO (5th over)and Brown-Lipe under/over years ago on a Ford N850. Trans got a little noisy at 150k but no problem with 2 speed. Keep in mind year '69 and GVW of truck 30,000#. Good luck if you try this, as I remember the Clark required a bell housing.

Paul, try a search using member name; Largecar, he installed a Allison and Brownlipe in his hotshot rig. Generated quite a bit of information.

For the other side of the coin, call Standard Trans & Gear in Fort Worth, 800-783-8726. You might decide the NV4500 is good from standpoints of size, weight, cost, gear ratios, parts availability.
I'm currently rebuilding a 4500 with parts from them. Good prices, fast service. They also offer new and rebuilt units.
