Competition Dyno Corrections or not!

Off Roading Is This Possible??

i'm new around here but my wife, son and i will definitely be going, would be interested in running my truck if only during time trials to get a base for the stock truck ... tst 3 will be going in the next weekent:D, according to post by dieselsports gates open at 11, time trials @1, racing @ 3

I'll be there. Eric is expecting to be a father about then, so he may not be attending.

I need to find a motel in the area. Dad's coming with me, and we're heading on to Chicago afterward for a day or three to help baby sister celebrate her first 39th birthday. So I can't sleep in the truck. :)

When is this event? I haven't been able to make it to any drags due to clutch and rearend problems that I think I have fixed now. Hopefully I'll be able to make it. Thanks in advance!

Change 'eliminations' to 'qualifications'.

Track management told us today, that you CAN run on Saturday, in brackets, and in between that, there'll be opportunities for record attempts. But the real diesel event is on Sunday, and there will also be cars running on Sunday. A few really fast diesel trucks to show up the ricers would be fun. :D

Two days at the track would definitely be fun. Bummer you can't make it, Kirk, turns out I got to work that weekend, can't make it either.

Yes I will be there on the 8th. I need to test a few things on my truck, so it might as well be in KY. Track opens at 9:00 am,qualifications at 11:00, eliminations at 2:00. Hope to see someone there Kirk

I should be there tom. I'm down here at the Univ. of KY, so its only about what, an hour or so? I'll mapquest it. I really want to run the truck, just to get a baseline, is that possible or is the track just open to those planning on killing every record ever known:) Thanks and God bless, James

Well, I am not there right now becasue i tore out my rear driveshaft. I guess i over powered it, or maybe it was a log I drove over in the woods.

Well I made it on Sat. and I was the only diesel there. I ran against the cars and was eliminated in the third round. I did my best driving of the year and was happy as heck with all my times in the hundreths close to each other and not tenths as usual:) . I wish I could have made it Sunday, but I slept till noon at the Hilton in Lexington the ate lunch and headed for the house to get rested for work Sunday night. Kirk

I was there on Sunday there were only 8 trucks in the diesel class and we didnt start elimations until like 5:00 pm. I made it past the first round but then they ran some other classes that had about 100 cars so I didnt stick around for the end.

I was there with Smokin Dodge and a couple of other folks, but didn't get to run. It was a good time, it was too bad that they changed it at the last minute to where no one really got to come.

Smokin Dodge: Dang man, I can't believe that it took so long fo the eliminations to start, ya'll had to have been there all day, and night. Hey did you continure runnin in both classes or just eventually stick to just diesels? I wish that I could have stuck around longer, but had to a report due on Tue. that I really needed to start on. How'd ya end up doin? Did you lauch in third or stick with the second gear launches?

Nice meetin everyone, hope to see some other folks later on at some other meets, or something? James

Well I tryied to run in both classes but when I went to run in class 20 they told me I couldnt run because I already ran in the diesel class, but they had told me all day that I could run in both classes with one tech card, and yes I did try launching in 3rd in the first round of the diesel class and it didnt hold it slipped all the way down the track but I got lucky because the Dmax beside me red lighted.

Stuff like that is what makes the event less enjoyable, I can't believe that they wouldn't let you run in both classes, but I guess that if there was a purse for each class, and you had only paid for one class, then I could understand. To bad your clutch was slippin when you launched in third. To you think that if it hadn't been slippin that that would have been the way to launch, or would you have stuck with a second gear launch? I can't wait till something like this comes around again, and my truck isn't stock. I know, I know, I'm working on it, it won't stay stock for long! James
