cleanable oil filter

Saw a cleanable oil filter down at RBP last week and was impressed. I don't remember the brand name. But a one time oil filter sounds good to me.

Is this an oiled filter or a dry filter? I'd hate to get that filter oil into my crankcase. :-laf

I was thinking too that for what it would cost for the solvent to clean it you could probably buy a spin on and forget the mess. I would also be concerned about the engine warranty!

This one flunks the risk analysis test BIG-TIME. What are the potential savings (miniscule) versus the risks involved ($14K for a new engine). Why would I do this?

Doesn't the Cummins engine oil pump move something like 46 gallons per minute? If so, that oil filter definitely won't work for our engines.
