I tried to deal with Jeremy on another site. Texted him about an item. . he replied promptly and I sent another text indicating I would take the item. Asked what would the shipping charges, etc? He indicated to me that he would get back to me next week. 4 or 5 days later, no response. Sent 2 more texts... with no response. In my estimation, this could be a scam.

The first post looks legit - and a member since '05, but I don't understand why no response to his own thread. His profile indicates he was on here as recently as 3/10/12.

My first contact was on 2/26; he replied about item, then in 2nd about Arizona shipping. Third text indicated he would get back with me next week. All of these texts took place within about a 2 hr time frame. These were all texts, not emaills. No contact since 2/26 from his end. I sent a text on 3/1 @ 7:45 a. m. ; then again on 3/3 @ noon. No Response.

I sent him a PM on December 8th after I first saw this thread - a little over 2 weeks after he posted it. After no response for a month, I posted my first post on this thread - and then another one a month later. I've never had any response from him. In fairness to him, he listed his phone number, but I never called him. I figured if he started a thread on here, a PM would work - or at least a post or two on his thread. But nothing. I just forgot about it - I figured maybe he didn't have what I wanted or wasn't interested or whatever. Seems like it isn't too much trouble to tell someone no or I don't have it, or I've been busy, etc...

Last year I was dealing with a guy on something who would go long stretches of not returning my calls, texts, messages, etc... In the end I got my item from him, and I think he was a good, honest guy. I think he was just really busy and rather than say that, it was easier for him to just not respond. Some people just operate that way, I guess.

I had a scam run on me concerning an item on EBAY a couple of years ago. It started out about like the deal with Jeremy…the difference being that I paid for the item through PAYPAL. The guy on EBAY gave shipping date after shipping date, but did not follow through. PAYPAL had a 30 day rule... that if the transaction was not contested within that time frame, your money would not be refunded. I waited 29 days. EBAY refunded my money after another 30 days. The seller was prohibited from selling on EBAY. My money was tied up for 60 days, meaning that I could not use this to purchase another part from a legitimate seller. I later found out he did not even have the item that was listed, but used a bogus picture in his ad. Jeremy did not indicate PAYPAL was an option. If I had sent a money order, etc, would Jeremy have refunded my money? You be the judge. From now on, I will not purchase an on-line item unless I can personally see and touch item. Is Jeremy running a scam? Again, you be the judge. The seller has responsibilities…a little integrity would be good also. In the end it is buyer beware.
