Cleaning Plastic Chrome

Whats the best way to clean the plastic chrome grill guard, tire covers, Laramie side mouldings, bumpers, all that good stuff. Ive neglected my truck through several mag-chloride winters and the stuff looks horrible. Am I out of luck or can I bring them back from the dead.

Try a clay bar kit on the whole truck, if that doesn't work then you may need to polish it with a buffer and polishing compound. Or you could replace it.

Wouldn't polishing the plastic peel the fake chrome right off!??

Hasn't on mine, go easy at it with a low speed or do it by hand.

Man, I HATE that mag chloride goo! Sticks to everything.

I've had some luck with regular old Windex, after hand washing the truck. Seems to take it off a layer at a time. Bruce
