Have been cleaning the motor home before we shove off to Vegas, Polishing Aluminum I have to a science wheels and door plates, sills look like mirrors.

The Polished Stainless Steel skirt that runs up the side of the motor home about 2 ft and goes the length of both sides is still pretty bright, FIL was out keeping me company while I was waxing the bus said that the Skirting just didn't seem to Sparkle like it use to.

I can only assume that its corrosion that makes SS get dull. How can I tell if it has a protective coating on it before I try to brighten it up with (place your suggestion here) on aircraft we used a product called Never Dull but I know that they didn't have a coating of any kind on them.

Have you ever tried "Flitz" ?? I've used it on brushed aluminum and it made it shiny, for awhile. Key word "Brushed" not polished aluminum.

Ive seen Flitz

On aluminum I use rouge and buffing wheels on a grinder, 3 different cuts on the rouge make it sparkle, don't know that much about SS polishing
