i had an oil leak and the fan blew oil every where :{ my radiator fins are clogged with oil and grime. anybody have any suggestions on how to clean it out after i yank the radiator off the truck. i was thinking brake clean and degreaser and a hose but not sure how well that will work

Might want to take it down to the carwash if you're pulling it. Just keep the high pressure wand going the same direction as the fins, that way they won't get bent.

I laid mine on two blocks of wood, fan side up soaked it with engine gunk let it soak used a combination of shop air and a garden hose so as not to damadge the radiator fins.

Spray on some Simple Green and use hot water. That should break up and remove much of the grease/oil buildup with out damaging the Rad.

The Best Degreaser that i have used to clean out my oil grime mess is castrol degreaser. Dont dilute it spray it down straight out, then use a high pressure steam cleaner. Hope This helps
