Im hoping the reason my truck has been missing and shutting down is because of the rollover valve. I just barely screwed the fuel cap on it yesterday evening to allow the tank to vent, the humming noise like a small pump is running goes away. On my way to and from work, the truck never shut off like it has been doing, it missed a few times but never shut down. Im assuming i gotta drop the tank to do this, by this weekend my fuel light should be on so I'll tackle it then. Does anybody have any experience with this?

There's an easey fix for this.

Turn the fuel cap till it clicks

Mark the top of the cap so when you take it off you'll know exactly where the inner cap (white center cap under the outer cap) stops at the top everytime it's put back on till it clicks.

Take a 1/8'' drill and drill the inner white cap where it stops at the top just outside it's center. DO NOT DRILL THRU THE OUTER CAP, not yelling just don't want you to make a mistake and drill too deep.

This should add an additional waterproof tank vent
