Does anyone know if there are any companies out there producing them for Dodge? I see the two other brands have replacements. I would like to replace mine and then get the clear lense led lights for the dually fenders and the tailgate. Oh yeah, truck is a 02' 3500. Thanks!

Trucklite makes some really nice but not so cheap LED's that snap directly into the existing light receptacles on your on your fenders in a clear housing with colored LED's. Down side price upside 200,000 light hours at 1/20th the current draw. Complete catalogue is on web site but takes a little time to learn to navigate complete with part #'s but no prices, best deals on this stuff are at automotive wholesalers that deal in truck parts. Website is at www.trucklite.com, these people are pioneers in the seal beam LED industry are more expensive but absolutely top quality. PK

i wonder if clear cab lights lenses will be avalable for the new 3rd gen hd's. i'd take clearence lamps if i could get clear lenses for them

Just at a quick glance Nick I'd betcha the 3rd gen cab markers are the same ones as the 2nd gens... ... .

And I want a set of clear ones too!

Jason

Jason the third gen trucks have a custom Dodge spec part unlike 2nd gen box markers which were a stock trucklite part. The cab lights on both trucks to my knowledge are not available as a clear lens and likely never will be as they must suscribe to Dot standards as direct OEM replacement. The three in one cab light on the new Chevy and three in one on the tailgate of the new Dodge are just another way to sell cool looks and cost big replacement money. I am going to use the 6 diode 2" and 4" lights on the new deck, this will take any load off of the cheesy Dodge light wiring. Maybe it will reduce some of the heat in the light switch as well, spec on new gooseneck will be LED as well. PK

The fender seal beams and the 3 ID markers are the same bulb, I looked up the Trucklite #'s 19250R red LED replacement,19250Y-yellow,19251R- clear lens red LED, 19251Y clear lens yellow LED, sorry price varies by supplier. These will go with the custom clear lens tail light assemblies and sport head light assemblies. PK

clear cab clearence lamps are avalable for the ford SD and the 88-99 gm trucks. all you need is colored bulbs behind the clear lense to pretty much be dot ok'd. take a look at all those ricers with the "euro" tail lights and headlamps. many of them avalable are not dot approved... that is why the "for off road use only" designation applies

Glad to see that you have a source for these clear marker lenses and yes I know about the colored bulb sources. What Jason was looking for are clear lensed amber LED cab markers and the folks at Trucklite will not produce unless there is a major demand to supply. The marker lights for the fenders were already in production and all they did was change the lens color to clear which were also in production and make them a stock unit with a part #. PK

Torque sorry I cant help you here, dont have them on my truck nor have I played with them on some one elses, Trucklite does make a direct replacement for the Ford and I think they are going to update them to LED shortly. The LED cab lights they offer now are not low profile except for the big trucks which are quite large 7-9" long, dont know if they would look right on a pickup. Grote has a web site, I dont like there quality but they do offer a slightly different product line with different LED combinations. There is another brand available at truck stops but I cant find any corporate background or web site for them???? DC traditionally are also stingy with the info on there supplying manufacturers, when you get one off there may be corporate markings on it. PK

The lens and the base are molded together--and the bulb twists in to the assembly. I can even tell you who makes them-Peterson Lighting... . but surprise surprise they don't make clear ones :) . You can get LED replacements for the 194 bulbs... . but I'm holding out until some outfit makes clear lenses so I can get amber LED bulbs to go in them. Doubt very much whether anyone is gonna release an LED sealed replacement-so this'll have to do... ...

Jason I went into Pedersons site last night and there selection is even more limited than Grote and my experience with there seal beams is price is lower than both Grote and Trucklite but so is the quality. I have some other LED sites that Iam chasing down, this stuff is becoming more available but as you know Canadian markets are last on the lists of priorities for these manufacturers. The clear marker lenses are demand driven and the specialty guys wont supply so the front line guys wont bother. PK
