Anybody installed their own roof clearance lights? If so, how much was the kit from Dodge, and what was involved in this process. I'm not afraid to try it myself, but as always I want the expert advice from the TDR members. Is this a project I would want to attempt or is this a pros only kinda deal? Thanks for any info... .....

I did mine a long time ago. Mine are aftermarket lights I forget what brand. It's not too hard of a job. My mistake was sweating the layout first. After I got the headliner out of the way, it was more obvious from the inside:D

have you considered a lighted visor, such as the Lund Lunar visor? lighted, and attaches inside the door opening on each side. no holes in the top of the truck. i don't have one, but they look kinda cool. have lights in the pattern for clearance lights... :)

I'm trying to find the thread from awhile ago about wiring a two-position switch to the clearance lights to be able to "blink them" on and off as a greeting, day or night. Anyone remember this?

I'm looking for the wiring instructions/diagram.

TIA

When I put them on my 97, I was worried about getting them laid out on the roof exactly where they belong. When I took the head liner down, there was a stamped "rib" running across the roof. It had 1" holes stamped in it, and that's exactly where the holes were suposed to be drilled! I just drilled straight up through each hole with a 1" hole saw-drill, and they were all in just the right spot.

Once again, thanks for the assistance everybody, Thomas, the link to cab lights answered all my questions, I feel more confident in undertaking this project now. After I do a fuel sending unit and front U-joint replacement gig! Talk to you guys later. Thanks again!
